Mileage: 106K miles
Purchased car from Phoenix AZ, as “pristine” but it wasn't, and I don't have the inclination now to rebuild it, so selling as a “project” car, needing significant repairs as noted below. BMW only made 847 of these 6-speed 850's, so car is worth saving. It does run and drives well, but not altogether healthy, with the “normal” problems with this vintage 850.

BMW 850i Mechanical Problems
1. Engine: burns oil in all cylinders, #8 cylinder has low compression (20 lbs). Spark plugs were fouled with carbon. Engine miss-fires.
2. Electric seats do not adjust properly, cannot move driver's seat forward, backward, and only one side adjusts up or down. Passenger seat does not adjust up or down properly, only one side moves.
3. Headlights do not adjust as the adjusters are broken.
4. Cruise Control does not engage.
5. Interior Rear View Mirror, which is designed to dim automatically, only is dimmed.
6. Fuel gauge reads only ½ full when the tank is full.
7. CD Player does not function due to a missing CD Cassette.
8. Sunroof switch plate falls down

1. Steering center link to correct wander in straight driving
2. Distributor caps and rotors
3. Replaced all 12 spark plugs
4. Replaced 4 tires with Continental 225-50R16 Z-rated tires
5. Four wheel alignment

6. New air-conditioner compressor and clutch, 134A refrigerant
7. Repaired headliner quarter panel
8. Replaced radiator hose
9. Replaced washer fluid pump & grommet
10. Work performed on seats and glove box (?)
